Social Media Day PHL Announces Next Chair of the Board

Tiffany Wilson Will Focus on Expanding Membership Programs and Community Engagement

PHILADELPHIA, PA. (October 17, 2022) – Social Media Day PHL, a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to supporting the professional development of digital communications professionals in the Philadelphia area, today announced that Tiffany Wilson has been elected as the next Chair of the Board of Directors.  Ms. Wilson is also currently the Head of Social Media at Comcast NBCUniversal, and succeeds Cassandra Bailey, founder of Social Media Day PHL and CEO of Slice Communications. 

“Tiffany’s leadership is such an incredible gift to this organization as we navigate the next phase of its evolution,” said Bailey.  “She has been on the Board since its inception, she has impressive social media and marketing communications credentials, and she has been one of the top-rated speakers at our Annual Conference.  There is no one better to become the next Chair of an organization that will benefit from all she has to offer.”

Ms. Wilson brings 15+ years in content creation, marketing, and communications for leading tech and retail brands, including Dell and Walmart Inc.  In her current role at Comcast, her team’s social media campaigns resulted in more than 10 billion impressions in 2021 alone.  Tiffany earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Southern California (USC). A California native, she relocated to the Philadelphia area in 2020 with her husband and two children.

As a membership organization, Social Media Day PHL offers a variety of programs in addition to its well-known Annual Conference, which happens on or around June 30th each year.  It also offers year-round member events, a co-mentoring program, and the Social Media Stars awards in partnership with the Philadelphia Business Journal.  The organization has plans to expand its membership and community-based programming under Ms. Wilson’s leadership.
