Shelby Denise Smith is a Journalist and Social Media Manager. She is a graduate from Syracuse University where she studied Communication and Chinese. In college, she started a blog and started earning passive income from her social channels. Shelby continued working on the brand while pursuing her career in journalism. After graduation, she started as a Page at CBS where she served as an assistant to Susan Zirinsky and Kim Godwin, President and (former) Vice President of CBS News. From there she transitioned to work as a Production Associate at NBC New York. In her most recent role for WHYY as a Social Media Producer, she married her experiences in brand management & journalism. She now works independently as Social Media Manager where she helps small businesses grow their social channels by simply telling their story.
