The virtual conference will take place on July 30, 2020 and all ticket proceeds will support local restaurants and frontline workers through “Fuel The Fight”

May 11, 2020 (Philadelphia, PA) – Today Social Media Day Philadelphia, a nonprofit that exists to provide professional development and networking experiences to members of the community, announced that its 2020 conference will be held virtually on July 30, 2020 in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Though the conference will take place online, Social Media Day will continue its tradition of bringing experts from across the country to share their knowledge and engage with digital marketing professionals. Tickets for the conference are available now for $20 with the net proceeds from each ticket being donated to Fuel The Fight, a local non-profit that’s providing chef-prepared meals for frontline workers.

“Every year we look forward to Social Media Day, and this year, we have the opportunity to engage with even more digital marketing experts by moving the conference online,” said Cassandra Bailey, Founder of Social Media Day Philadelphia and CEO of Slice Communications. “Though the situation was unexpected, we are excited to use the virtual space to expand our speaker and attendee reach nationally, all while supporting our local restaurant community and feeding our frontline heroes.”

Now more than ever, all media should be considered social media and Social Media Day transcends social media at its basic level. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from industry-leading experts from all areas of digital marketing including SEO, SEM, customer experience, website development, public relations, affiliate marketing, media planning, ROI, analytics, and more.

The 2019 conference hosted speakers from industry-leading companies such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Adobe, Bitly, Auntie Anne’s, MuckRack, GoPuff, Insomnia Cookies, Fast Company, Independence Blue Cross, and Coffee Meets Bagel.

Tickets purchased for the conference will support Fuel The Fight. Like Social Media Day Philadelphia, Fuel The Fight is a homegrown initiative that raises funds to buy food from local restaurants who are reeling from the coronavirus while feeding essential workers. Each ticket sold to Social Media Day Philadelphia will provide a chef-prepared meal to a frontline worker.

With ticket proceeds going to support others, Social Media Day Philadelphia is relying on sponsors to underwrite the cost of the event. Organizations interested in sponsoring this year’s conference can contact Cassandra Bailey at
