May 11, 2020 (Philadelphia, PA) – Today Social Media Day Philadelphia, a nonprofit that exists to provide professional development and networking experiences to members of the community, announced that its 2020 conference will be held virtually on July 30, 2020 in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Though the conference will take place online, Social Media Day will continue its tradition of bringing experts from across the country to share their knowledge and engage with digital marketing professionals. Tickets for the conference are available now for $20 with the net proceeds from each ticket being donated to Fuel The Fight, a local non-profit that’s providing chef-prepared meals for frontline workers.
“Every year we look forward to Social Media Day, and this year, we have the opportunity to engage with even more digital marketing experts by moving the conference online,” said Cassandra Bailey, Founder of Social Media Day Philadelphia and CEO of Slice Communications. “Though the situation was unexpected, we are excited to use the virtual space to expand our speaker and attendee reach nationally, all while supporting our local restaurant community and feeding our frontline heroes.”

Tickets purchased for the conference will support Fuel The Fight. Like Social Media Day Philadelphia, Fuel The Fight is a homegrown initiative that raises funds to buy food from local restaurants who are reeling from the coronavirus while feeding essential workers. Each ticket sold to Social Media Day Philadelphia will provide a chef-prepared meal to a frontline worker.
